Introduction

Data science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence’ are the new ‘mantras’ of the 21st century.
Data, and more important, data science, have become a competitive advantage for a variety of
industries and businesses, not just the Facebooks, Amazons, and Googles of the world. Data rule the
business. In particular due to rapid development of computing power , Machine learning algorithms
are playing a prominent role in AI applications.
Therefore, Center for Data Science, Machine Learning and AI for Women , established by Maharshi
Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, (MKSSS), Pune offers a two-months courses in blended format
(Instructor-led Online and classroom teaching and lab session) exclusively for women professionals
What you will learn
In this course, you will learn applications of Machine Learning algorithms using Python programming
language. In addition, you will also learn a very important and essential component of Data Science
applications of which Machine learning is a subset, namely how to transform and clean the data,
do Exploratory data analysis and communicating the findings to the management

Program Details and mode of delivery
1. Mode of delivery: Three days in blended mode ( partly Online and partly Face-to-face
sessions) per week including hands-on practice using Python spread over two-months period.
2. You need to spend approximately 2 and ½ hrs on all three days in a week
3. Prerequisites: No prior knowledge of Python is required. Python will be covered from the scratch
4. Requirements: Excellent computer lab is available for hands-on practice for offline interaction.
For online interaction you have to use your laptop
5. Domain -specific data sets , Case studies and required reading material will be distributed
to you during the course
